Protect Your Breathing Zone with Source Capture® Technology

HealthyAir® Source Capture® Fan-Filter Exhauster systems are engineered to extract airborne particulate and dust from the breathing zone to improve indoor air quality and reduce occupational hazard risks.

These units are ideal for outside ventilation applications that require exhausting out of the facility by connecting the outlet of the unit to an exhaust duct (if required by local commercial building and mechanical code).

This HealthyAir® Source Capture® Fan-Filter Exhauster systems are engineered to provide ventilation for up adjacent workstations.

Nail Salon IMC Ventilation Code Compliance

The HealthyAir® Source Capture® Fan-Filter Exhauster fully complies with, and exceeds, IMC Ventilation Code requirements for Nail Salons.

For Nail Salons IMC Chapter 4 Ventilation Code generally requires:

  • a minimum of 50 cfm of air extraction from each nail station
  • at least one exhaust inlet per nail station located <12” from the point of chemical application
  • exhaust of all extracted air from the nail salon to the outdoor atmosphere

Added benefits of system use include:

  • The clean air output of each system can be applied to the total 0.6 cfm/ft2 that is required to be exhausted from overall salon air, which in turn conserves energy
  • Prevents contaminated air from re-entering the salon and/or entering adjacent environments, including neighboring businesses or residences
  • Prevents nail dust from accumulating in duct work and creating potential hazards

Recommend Nail Salon Use

HealthyAir® Source Capture® Fan-Filter Exhauster systems are capable of serving (1-4) nail stations, depending on the model utilized.

Outside Ventilation – IMC Ventilation Code Compliance

The HA-SCE-G2 model is primarily designed for use as an Outside Ventilation unit, whereby the system is designed to take in contaminated air though the extraction hose, filter contaminants, and discharge treated air out of the facility via an exhaust duct connection to the 5” dia. outlet port of the unit.

The components required to setup the unit for Outside Venting come with the unit, as outlined in the manual.

Weight, Dimensions & Installation

The approximate weight and base dimensions of the unit is: 40 lbs. - 12”l x 14”w x 21”h

The standard unit is equipped with (4) Extraction Hose; (2) 6'L and (2) 12'L.  Custom length hose is available, for information and pricing please contact us.

This portable floor unit is designed to be positioned in close proximity to the work station, however in some cases remote location of units is required. For customized layouts, please contact us for engineering and design recommendations.

Operation

By easily adjusting the flexible hose, the hoods of the extraction arms can be strategically positioned, approximately 6”-12” from the work area, to capture contaminates from the emission source.

The HA-SCE-G2 offers simple remote-control operation and is equipped with a three-speed fan that enables control of air flow and sound level.

Maintenance of the unit is simple and does not require the use of any tools.

Filter Model & Replacement

The HealthyAir® Source Capture® Fan-Filter Exhauster utilizes the model HA-FFM-Filter.  Each unit comes with (1) pre-installed filter.

The recommend filter replacement cycle is 18 months on average.  However, the need for filter replacement naturally varies depending on the frequency and nature of use.

When the unit has been in operation for 1,000-hours, the Filter Change indicator light, on the Control Panel, will begin to flash. This serves as a reminder to inspect and/or replace the filter.

The Filter Change Timer can be reset by following the reset protocol outlined in the manual.

Protect Your Breathing Zone with Source Capture & Local Exhaust Ventilation

HealthyAir Source Capture Systems are engineered to extract airborne contaminants from the breathing zone to improve indoor air quality and reduce occupational hazard risks.

The HealthyAir Source Capture Fan-Filter Exhauster system is designed to provide ventilation for one to four technician(s)/workstation(s).

The unit can be operated as a free-standing portable Source Capture Dust Collector (with caster wheels installed) or fixed in place and connected to an exhaust duct to vent outside (if required by local commercial building and mechanical code - i.e. IMC code for nail salons outside ventilation compliance).

    Recirculating vs. Outside Ventilation

The HealthyAir Source Capture Exhauster System can operate as a Recirculating Ventilation (Dust Collector) or Outside Ventilation (Local Exhauster Ventilation) system depending on how it is configured for use.

The out-of-the-box default mode of operation is Recirculating Ventilation, and every unit comes with the components require to reconfigure the unit for Outside Ventilation.

    Recirculating Ventilation - Dust Collector

Recirculating Ventilation means the unit is designed to take in contaminated air though the extraction hose, filter dust and particulate, and discharge filtered air from the exhaust vent, located on the bottom of the unit, back into the facility.

    Outside Ventilation

The components required to setup the unit for Outside Venting come with the unit, as outlined in the manual. When configured for Outside Ventilation, the system is designed to take in contaminated air though the extraction hose, filter contaminants, and discharge treated air out of the facility via an exhaust duct connection to the 5” dia. outlet port of the unit.

Operation of Dust Collector Fan-Filter Exhauster

A HealthyAir Source Capture Exhauster is a Fan-Filter Dust Collector designed to provide ventilation for one to four workstation(s).

This unit can be operated as a free-standing portable Dust Collector, with the caster wheels installed, or it can be set in a fixed location and connected to an exhaust duct for local exhaust outside ventilation (if required by local commercial building and mechanical code).

Once the unit is set in the desired location, the hood (air inlet) of the extraction arm can be strategically positioned approximately 6”-12” from the work area, by easily adjusting the flexible hose, to capture contaminates from the emission source.

The units offers simple remote-control operation and is equipped with a three-speed fan that enables control of air flow.

Maintenance of the unit is simple and does not require the use of any tools.

    Filter Model & Replacement

The Healthy Air Single Station Source Capture Exhauster utilizes the HA-FFM-1111 Fan-Filter Module. Each unit comes with pre-installed filter.

The recommend filter replacement cycle is 9 months on average.

    Setup & "Installation"

This floor unit is designed for use as a portable or fixed unit, positioned in close proximity to the work station.

In some cases remote location of units is required. For customized layouts, please contact us for engineering and design recommendations.

Initial setup of the unit for portable recirculating ventilation operation is simple and only requires connection of the extraction hose and caster wheels.  The caster wheels enable the unit to be easily moved as needed.

Connection of Unit Outlet to Exhaust Duct for Outside Ventilation

The HealthyAir Source Capture System provides a 5" dia. exhaust outlet port for connection of the unit to the exhaust duct.

To connect the unit to an exhaust duct for outside ventilation, a local HVAC technician, plumber, general contractor or DIY enthusiast is required to install the exhaust ducting that will connect to the exhaust outlet port of the unit.

Depending on user preference and site considerations, there are several options for the exhaust duct material, including galvanized sheet metal duct, PVC, aluminum flex duct or other flexible material for direct connection to the unit's outlet port and the exhaust line that vents out of the facility.

The option of utilizing our specialized Exhaust Duct Flex Hose as a transition for connection of the unit to the main exhaust duct is also available.  This component is provided as a separate item that can be added, and various lengths are available to choose from.
