HealthyAir® Ventilation for Classrooms
- Capture 99.95% of airborne particles down to 0.1 microns
- eHEPA® Deactivates virus, bacteria, & mold collected on filter media
- Collect ultra-fine particulate, dust and allergens
- Improve indoor air quality and promote cleanliness and safety in lobbies, resident rooms, common areas and offices.
The transmission of communicable diseases via airborne pathogens, such as the SARS-CoV2 the virus that causes COVID-19, can more easily occur in school environments that lack proper ventilation.
HealthyAir® systems with eHEPA® technology function to improve indoor air quality by reducing the concentration of airborne contaminants including viruses (such as SARS-CoV2 the virus that causes COVID-19), bacteria, mold spores, and allergens.
Air filtration in classrooms and school facilities can help mitigate long-range airborne viral transmission by removing SARSCoV- 2, and other pathogens, from any air that is recirculated through the building. Ceiling-Mount and Portable air purifiers with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters may be useful to reduce exposures to airborne droplets and aerosols emitted from infectious individuals in buildings, and the HealthyAir® patented eHEPA® (electrostatic enhanced HEPA) improves upon standard HEPA filtration by augmenting the standard HEPA filter with an electrostatic field.
By applying electrostatic charge to incoming ultra-fine particles, including submicron virus, and then polarizing the fibers of the HEPA filter with additional charge, electrostatic forces enable eHEPA® to achieve a higher filter rate. Additionally, the 10kV electrostatic field deactivates microorganism that pass through the ionization field and causes the destruction of microorganisms that are collected on the filter media.
